Pick the wager. The table handles the cards.

Baccarat looks mysterious until you realize there’s almost nothing to operate. You choose the wager. Player and Banker then follow fixed drawing rules automatically, and the hand closest to 9 wins. No Hit. No Stand. No decision tree in the middle of the hand.

Banker

Best place to start

Banker is the wager I’d learn first. It wins slightly more often than Player, and a win pays 0.95 to 1 after the table’s 5% commission.

Player

Clean and simple

Player pays a straight 1 to 1. You’re betting that the Player hand finishes closer to 9 than Banker.

Tie

Higher payout

Tie pays 8 to 1 here. It’s a bigger payout because ties are much less common. Player and Banker main bets simply push when the hand ties.

Dragon Bonus

Side bet

Dragon Bonus is separate from the main wager. It can pay when your side wins naturally or wins by a large enough margin.
